Contact Judy in Fl at 727 319 0490 or 1967 Cougar for sale                                             (added 05/10/16) VIN 7F91A513466, Original, right down to the floor mats! This car has been in the family since new. It has 89,000 original miles, with Cinnamon Frost exterior and saddle interior. Exterior is in really good shape. There is a dent in the right fender extension, the front bumper, and the rear bumper. There is the usual rust around the rear glass. There are various dings and scratches. With the exception of some wear to the driver’s seat, the interior looks great. The driver’s seat had a hole, that was patched, and the passenger arm rest was repaired. This car was driven, and then it was garaged for 23 years. The only things not original are various parts of the brake system: master cylinder, drums, and wheel cylinders. It was bought on Jan. 3, 1967, in Bakersfield, Ca. It was born in Oct. 1966. It has the old style windshield washer bag with the foot pump. The wipers are vacuum operated. The sequential taillights operate normally, however the headlight doors intermittently do not come up. As usual with a nearly fifty year old car, the weather- stripping around the doors needs replacing. There are a few other items, but nothing that will break the bank. All of the things this beauty needs are minor in cost. I was going to restore, but it is in great original condition. Life changes have forced this sale. I could fix these minute issues, but I want the new owner to know exactly what they have. I knows original is better; there are no surprises. It won’t take much to be cruising in style. Selling for $15,000 or best offer. Cash in person or cashier’s check only. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. My father has a 1967 Cougar for sale. The intent was to restore but after sitting in a dirt floor barn for approximately 30 years the desire is gone. The body is in bad shape with rust holes. The hood, roof and trunk lid are solid. The car was driven into the barn but motor is stuck now along with the front brakes. All of the glass, trim, bumpers and lights are in good condition. The interior other than being very dirty is in tact and has no holes. My guess is that this would be a parts car but the right person may also be able to restore. It does have a clean title. To my knowledge my father is the second owner. I believe that the motor has around 107,000 miles on it. It was originally sold by Joe Kerley Lincoln-Mercury in San Jose, and remains in the same family since new. Very Original Condition, always garaged, there are about 120,000 miles on it, and it is in San Jose today. The factory a/c is not working, but the owner just put on new brakes, it is complete, and it drives well. It would be hard to find a better unrestored, unmolested XR-7; this car might even serve as a example for concours judges wanting to know more about originality. Asking price is $12,000. It has 123,225 miles on the original engine and transmission. This car has been in my family since it was almost new. My father bought it with less than 3,000 miles on it. The car was in San Jose, California--always stored in a garage--until 1997, when I transported it to my home in Columbus, Ohio. Since then, it has been driven less than 1,000, only in the summers, and always garaged--never taken out in the winter. There is no serious rust on the body or frame. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly, the transmission and drive train, including differential, all seem to be in fine shape. It is equipped with factory air conditioning but that is not working now.  This would be a great car to restore -- no serious rust and everything except the radio and the mufflers is stock. A full restoration would require minor body work, new paint (and pinstriping if one wanted to match the original), new headliner, new carpet, new front upholstery, new weatherstripping around windows and some other detail work.  Asking $9500 as is. This is a nice solid original car. To the best of my knowledge, it was painted in California 2005 and it has had the interior done, but otherwise an original unmolested car. Odometer shows 52,995 miles. Still had 2 of the original FoMoCo headlights in it until I upgraded to the halogen lights. (By today’s standards, original lights are way too dim.) Still has the buck tag on the rad supports that are almost always gone. Nice rim blow steering wheel with no cracks. Perfect dash. Lots of original straps, wire harness retainers, heater core bypass valve under the hood that show that it is possibly a survivor, not a nut and bolt restoration. Gas and brake pedal wear minimal and lack of driver door sag when opened all show me a low mileage car. I do not have any documentation to prove the mileage has not gone around once, but highly unlikely. I am convinced that this is an original 53,000 mile car. Was shipped to California new and came to Canada in 2007. Not a car that migrated to California later in life from some salty northern state. Factory air. Factory tinted glass, nice chrome. Rim blow Horn working, Aftermarket stereo. Heavily undercoated, Love it or hate it, it may have helped save the car. You can tell from the photos, no repairs on the undercarriage. It is in excellent mechanical condition, good tires, suspension is good, brakes, etc. Should be no issue to safety, has not been modified, meaning should meet emissions, where ever its new home is.  All the Eliminator pcs are there, High back bucket seats, chin spoiler, trunk spoiler, hood scope , stripes, camera case dash , styled steel wheels, Heavy duty suspension , the 351 4v 10.7 to 1 high compression motor, 300 hp stock. Automatic trans. Has power steering and brakes. Everything works, including the air con, hideaway headlights, sequential tail lights, etc. A couple of extras. It has the Cougar finned valve covers. Probably dealer installed. And has hood locking pins, Nice add on.  This car is an excellent investment; it is from the south so it is a solid car. Not a pretty painted car full of repairs and welded metal over rust. So this car, as long as it is taken care of, will last another 47 years. I have been around these cars all my life, and as these cars are approaching 50 years old, I see very few rust free cars anymore.   The car is correct, not a clone, It is one of the rare original eliminators. First of only 2 years in production.  I can get the car to Buffalo, Niagara falls NY area border, I have been told that because the car was built in the USA and was once was registered in the Usa, there is no issue with getting the car back into the USA, If not convenient to come the the border, there are trucking firms that will take care of the whole process for you and get it to your home. This is a fine example of a cougar Eliminator. Nicely optioned out. It has a nice color combination; it has the rare and expensive, ac, tinted glass. And of course the power steering and power brakes and front disk brakes combined with the heavy duty suspension that makes this car drivable by today’s standards. In conclusion this is a car that will last and continue to appreciate. Asking $26,500 OBO. contact Lee in Canada at or 905-986-9929 1969 XR7 for sale                                                    (added 2/17/16) VIN 9F93R554649. So, here it is; I put up for sale this "concourse close" restoration of my 1969 Mercury Cougar 428CJ-R XR7. Matching number car. All original glass. It has the Marti auto report, original invoice and buildsheet. This car has been restored with the love and dedication that it deserves. Only about 100 XR7 cars were built in 1969 with this 428CJ-R engine. Every part on this car went thru my hands with care. I bought the rust-free car, and took it completely apart, just to be sure that it was rust free. To make it perfect, I have media blasted the car and metallised it. Afterwards it had a good coat of epoxy primer to eliminate all possible humidity entering the metal. It has one basecoat, two layers of candy apple red, and two layers of clear-coat. The car is always garage kept on a constant temperature of app. 19°C (66°F). During the winter period the car is stored on blocks under the chassis to prevent the rear leaf spring from sagging. The front suspension is stored like described in the manual. The 428 Cobra Jet Ram-air engine is rebuilt by a professional, and has most things new like; time gear, pistons, ignition fuel pump… The block is balanced and runs very good. I have installed an oil cooler as well just to ensure the durability. It has the C-6 transmission. The rear axle is a “N-case” with a Limited slip differential. Tires: front 245x60x15, Rear: 275x60x15, both on magnum 500 rims. I let myself go and produced my own centercaps. They’re made of rust free steel with ‘Cougar’ engraved in it and then polished like a mirror.   New vinyl top, new headliner, new carpet… White leather seats completely redone in very good condition.
